Our kids love us. They need us. We teach them through our ordinary conversations. We teach them, or rather they learn they are loved, when we scoop them up, snuggle them, and hold them when they hold their arms up to us. 

The art of home schooling lies in embracing the chaotic joy that comes with a holistic life at home. Chemistry and math are learned in the kitchen. Measurement and geometry are learned in the yard.

Discipline and follow-through can be learned through laundry, chores, family exercise routines, and most importantly, gratitude is learned through saying please and thank you ten times a day.

Scaling Digital Purging

If you want to organize your family photos, don't start in 1988 and move toward the present. Start at the present and move backwards.

If you want to organize your digital files or clear your desktop of it's clutter, start macro and move to micro. Create two simple folders such as "personal" and "professional". Drop, or cut and paste all files into one of these two folders. Then you can create a few sub-folders within each, so that all loose items have a home, the clutter is gone, and if you have time you can go through the six to eight sub-folders to get nitty-gritty.
